I haven't read anything of Elaine's other than "Winter Witch", but it seemed to me she has a gift for invoking strong imagery and I'd be very interested to see how that would work out with your own talent for cultural detail in a possible collaboration.

P.S. Kissing scenes were good :)elgallahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00655183709802685304noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7742336728407827246.post-11453301185331235822013-12-13T01:01:45.683+02:002013-12-13T01:01:45.683+02:00Please pardon my commenting in English. I'm sorry this one didn't work for you as well as the ones I wrote solo, but I think you rightly point out that first chapter--written entirely by Elaine--made for a strong start.

The story of the writing of Winter Witch is one of a year of personal tragedies for Elaine (family illnesses and deaths), and one frantic month in which I helped finish the book from her outline and the editor's notes on her manuscript.
d
The corny ending is on me. I'd been begging the editor for a couple of more days to finish, but Gen Con was imminent, so the answer was a firm "no." I wrapped it perhaps more glibly than anyone wished, but on the whole I'm pretty happy with the way the story turned out. And, for the most part, Elaine forgives me for the kissing scenes. :)

Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16095519169994622951noreply@blogger.com
